Context
This coin, issued by Rao Shri Gohadaji II, S/O Lakhpatji, during his reign from AD 1761 - 1778 (VS 1818 - 1835) is modelled after the coins of Sultan Mahmud Shah bin Latif Shah (AD 1536 – 1554) of Gujarat Sultanate (India - Islamic), a practice found to be followed by his predecessors and successors as well. 1 Dokdo issued by his predecessors, Khengarji II (Br#12/ DR#48.1), Pragmalji I (KM#39) and Desalji I (KM#49) and his successor, Raydhanji II (C#26) listed in Numista appear identical to this coin except for the name of the respective ruler on the reverse.
